We're off to a great start on the Western Rendezvous! With 19 people in 10 airplanes (6 Cessnas, 2 Bonanzas, a Mooney and a Seneca), the adventure has officially begun. Tomorrow we start by exploring beautiful, funky Moab--first via raft down the Colorado River, then later by tour bus inside Arches National Park. Gotta love this tourist town, shaped by Native Americans, Mormons, uranium miners, hard-core athletes and not just a few hippies. We pilots are pretty boring around here, as bicycles and Jeeps (not planes) rule!
