It only took MUCHOS years, tremendous dedication and pain-staking work on the part of many Paraguayans, but Beto (aka Silver Fox) and friends accomplished their goal today of building a replica Deperdussin and flying it over the skies of Asuncion, commemorating the flight made by Paraguay's Silvio Pettirossi 100 years ago today.
Felicidades, amigos! You've made your country (and your Parkwest friends) so proud! More information about the project (in Spanish) can be viewed here.
Great Day for Paraguay!

I'm proud of my friend Beto and people who worked on this project. 7 years of hard work and the Deperdussin flew the exact same day, 100 years after Pettirossi did it for the first time in Paraguay. Congrats.

Thanks, Koky! It's hard to believe that the day finally arrived! Beto is the best! :)
