REGISTRATION AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

Dates & Pricing:
The tour dates for the Southern Cross * Roads Road Rally are January 17 - February 1, 2025.  The tour price is US$ 5,400 per person, based on double-occupancy, payable in three installments (see below).  Parkwest Air Tours will accept payment by check, wire transfer or Zelle..  You may mail checks to Parkwest Air Tours, PO Box 4043, Grand Junction, CO 81502 USA.  Please contact us for special pricing and arrangements if your party is other than two people sharing one room.

Prices include the following:
  • Quality hotel accommodation at each destination
  • All scheduled activities and their associated gratuities
  • Meals specified in the itinerary and their associated gratuities
  • Daily briefings
  • Patagonia Road & Rail Travel Reference Map
  • Commemorative tour apparel
  • Services of two bilingual trip leaders
Prices do NOT include:
  • Airline travel to/from Puerto Montt, Chile
  • Vehicle expenses (rental, insurance, fuel, ferry, parking, tolls, etc.)
  • Meals not specified on the itinerary
  • Activities not specified in the itinerary
  • ​Travel Insurance
  • ​Any personal expenses like alcoholic beverages, souvenirs, gifts, etc.​
Payment Terms:
The per-person price is US$ 5,400, payable as follows.
  • US$ 800 per person non-refundable deposit, due with reservation
  • US$ 2,300 per person, due no later than September 1, 2024
  • US$ 2,300 per person, due no later than December 1, 2024

Remote Area Caution:
Please note that this tour involves travel to well-touristed but remote areas of Chile and Argentina.  Internet access (sometimes) and cell service (particularly) will not be available for some portions of our time in this region.  Additionally, medical services will be spread out and limited during certain stretches of travel.  If you have any reservations about traveling with these constraints, please consider thoughtfully whether you would be comfortable with these tour conditions.  (Note that the tour leaders will be traveling with a satellite messenging device and a satellite phone in case of emergencies.)

Cancellation Terms and Other Policies:
Parkwest is often held to very strict cancellation policies which are therefore passed down to its customers, as follows:
  • The tour deposit confirms your space and is non-refundable.  Payments made are refundable to the extent we are able to fill your vacancy with another customer or receive cancellation refunds on your behalf from our vendors.  Please do not register if there is any uncertainty about your schedule or availability for this tour.  We would rather save us both the headache and financial impact due to a cancellation.​
  • The cost of any unforeseen changes to the itinerary once the trip has started will be shared amongst all participants.  For instance, if the Chilean ferry schedule causes us to restructure the itinerary, the necessary hotel and other costs will be borne by all participants.  Any missed hotel, activity and meal costs that are refunded to Parkwest will likewise be refunded to all tour participants.

    HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

    The undersigned (“Client”) has paid TopFlight Aero LLC (dba Parkwest Air Tours or "Parkwest") for participation, either as a driver or passenger, in a self-drive, group tour package.  The Client understands that Parkwest can make no refunds due to missed days, activities, or hotel accommodation because of adverse weather conditions.  Furthermore, the Client understands that all hotels, meals and activities are pre-reserved and often pre-paid, and that if he/she elects to forego any such hotel stay, meal or activity for any reason, that no refund for the item will be made.

    For participation in any tour packaged by Parkwest Air Tours, the undersigned hereby agrees to release and hold harmless any Parkwest owners, sponsors, driver/guides, workers, volunteers, and owners of both public and private land where the tours are to take place.  This shall include officers, directors, agents and Parkwest employees or subcontractors.  The above shall also be released from any negligent act or omission and shall also be released from any loss, damage, or cost incurred due to participation in this event.
     
    I hereby forever release, acquit, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Parkwest Air Tours, their officers, affiliates, and employees from any and all causes or causes of action, including personal injury, illness, death, property damage, cost, charges, claims, demands, and liabilities of whatever kind, name, or nature in any manner arising out of my participation during a tour packaged by Parkwest Air Tours.  Furthermore, I state that if I willfully participate, either as a passenger or as the driver of a vehicle, I assume all risks, responsibilities, and liabilities for my conduct, as well as for the conduct of the other passengers aboard my vehicle.  I have read and understand the above information, and will willfully sign a hard copy version of this agreement at the first tour briefing in Puerto Varas, Chile.
